Which ports does skype use?

For Skype to work correctly, the following ports need to be open in your firewall:

• 443/TCP.
• 3478-3481/UDP.
• 50000-60000/UDP.

Skype uses wideband codecs which allows it to maintain reasonable call quality at an available bandwidth of 32 kb/s. It uses TCP for signaling, and both UDP and TCP for transporting media traffic.

Required Client Ports

In case your router blocks the random port used by Skype to receive incoming connections, You must manually forward ports 80 and 443, allowing Skype to connect to other clients via TCP. All newer routers have Web interfaces from which you can forward ports for different applications.

1. Click on config button for Apache.
2. Click on Apache(httpd. conf) file. In the file look for Listening port.
3. Change the port 80 to 8080 in the file. Save and close the file.
4. Restart Xampp.
5. Now apache will run in port 8080. And Also MySQL will start running. ​

There are services running on this web server that are using well known port numbers. UDP port 53 is used for DNS, TCP port 80 is used for non-encrypted web services, and TCP port 443 is used for encrypted web services.

Both Amazon Prime and Netflix use TCP as the transport layer protocol. YouTube on the other hand use both UDP and TCP protocols.
