Is ithaca a party school?

University Primetime has named Ithaca College the #33 party school in the nation, up there with schools like Rutgers, Miami, JMU and Texas A&M. Obviously, we’re also 30 spots higher on the list than Cortland.

Partying is pretty big at Ithaca. I’d say that most students go out at least Friday and Saturday night, if not more. There is a lot of drinking. There are parties off campus that are fun.

The majority of students at Ithaca are White and middle-class. Last year, Ithaca had their highest percentage of ALANA(African American, Latino/a, Asian American and Native American) students which was around 17%. That being said, minorities generally feel out of place at this school.

It is a GREAT college town. There are tons of things to do, and the entire town in based on the two colleges, so You are never bored! The only problem is that Ithaca College is on a hill, and there is nothing directly around the campus, you have to bring a car or take the bus, which only leaves every hour.
