Can you use disney transportation if you stay off-site?

Anyone is free to use the bus system regardless of where they are staying, on or off Disney property.

Yes. All Guests have complimentary access to our network of monorails, buses and boats. If you would like to visit multiple parks, enjoy a nice dinner at one of the Disney Resort hotels or shop at Disney Springs, you can leave your car parked in the theme park lot and use our transportation network.

Anyone can access Disney World transportation (not just those staying on-site) and they operate on fairly regular schedules. Generally, services begin about an hour before park open and stop about an hour to an hour and a half after park close.

If you’re staying offsite, I would recommend Driving or using a rideshare or taxi service to get to Walt Disney World Resort. You’ll be dropped off at the Transportation and Ticket Center where you can either catch the monorail or the ferry boat to take you to Magic Kingdom Park.

Q: Can you purchase a Disney Dining plan if you aren’t staying at a Walt Disney World Resort? A: No. Disney Dining Plans are only available to those staying at a Walt Disney World Resort As part of a Magic Your Way Vacation Package which includes a Disney Resort stay as well as theme park tickets.

Staying Off-Site Can Save You A Lot of Money ( Sometimes)

Depending on what time of year you are going, how big your family is, or what discounts you could get by staying on property at Walt Disney World will all make a difference.

From buses and boats to the Walt Disney World Monorail System, there are lots of fun ways to get around the Walt Disney World Resort. Even if you are not staying at one of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, You can still use Disney transportation to get where you need to go within the Resort.

There are two kinds of Lightning Lane options, those that are Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions, and the Individual Lightning Lane attractions. All guests, regardless of where they are staying, can start booking Genie+ Lightning Lane reservations starting at 7 am, local time.

Anyone can ride the Skyliner! You do not have to present any hotel reservation information in order to get to the resorts accessible by gondolas.

The Bus drops you off directly at MK Just where all of the other buses drop off at around the circle so you do NOT need to ride the monorail from ticket and transportation. So all of the buses from Swan and Dolphin drop off exactly where Disney buses drop off at.

Early Theme Park Entry allows Disney Resort Guests (as well as guests from other select hotels) the opportunity to enter any of the 4 theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios) 30 minutes before non-Disney Resort guests.

The monorail is definitely faster, and much more frequent. But the resort boat is limited to resort guests, and you are going to be there during the busiest time of year- so remember that the boat is a great option, especially for returning.

No Free Transport to Disney World

You’re welcome to go to any WDW resort to shop or enjoy the grounds, regardless of where you’re staying, but You might not be able to PARK there without a hotel stay or dining reservation. You’re welcome to walk or use any of Disney’s free transportation options to get there; you just won’t be able to drive.

Guests must have valid park admission and a reservation for park entry through the Disney Park Pass system to dine at in-park restaurants. Dining reservations are highly recommended for table-service restaurants. Or, you can check for walk-up availability at select restaurants via the My Disney Experience mobile app.

Chef Mickey’s is located in Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Not only do you not need a park ticket, but you do not need to be a Guest of that resort hotel to dine at Chef Mickey’s! As long as you are lucky enough to score a reservation at this popular character dining location, you can dine at the restaurant!

Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can make FastPass+ reservations up to 60 days in advance of check-in for their entire length of stay (up to 14 days), while guests staying off-site can make reservations Up to 30 days in advance of each day of their theme park visit.

Digging in deeper, Disney Genie+ will let guests skip the lines for over 40 attractions, while Individual Lightning Lane Selections will be reserved for the most popular E-ticket rides. Think, attractions with virtual queues or rides that tend to draw hours-long standby lines.

Where Can Uber Go At Walt Disney World? Uber drivers can go pretty much anywhere a regular car can go (except for parking lots reserved for people who are parking). Basically, this means they can drop you off and pick you up at any Disney hotel, Disney Springs, and the Disney parks (with one exception).

The on-site resorts and experience of being in the Disney World bubble are more enjoyable even though it is more expensive. For those will a limited budget hoping to visit the parks, but save money, An off-site Disney World stay can be a great choice.
